Nonsensical Creativity

Colin Harman, my graphic design co-worker/room mate, and I decided to see how many automotive terms we could create that didn’t really exist. Our friend, Janelle, had some car concerns according to her Facebook status.  It was late last night….so give us a break.  This doesn’t have anything to do with production unless you consider it an exercise in creative thinking…outside of that it doesn’t offer much! Here’s to a post for originality! (Never ask us for car help….we can fill your gas tank, cap off your washer fluid, replace your wiper blades, change your tire…..you know — the basics…but if you have a problem with your inline spectrum rotary gurder….well….that’s another story.)

   We make funny look stupid, because we’re way more funny than anyone else has ever been. Ever. I’m glad that this is forever encapsulated in this digital time capsule.

   You know, having worked in the nuclear industry for a long time, I looked at the problem with a little different perspective. I’ve developed a prototype for automobile application and the results of optimization calculations for this type of reactor operating in the thorium cycle would be my recommendation. This scenario tends to validate the feasibility of operating a heavy-water thermal neutron power reactor in a self-sufficient thorium cycle. Two modes of operation were considered in this prototype: the mode of preliminary accumulation of 233U in the reactor itself and the mode of operation in a self-sufficient cycle. For the mode of accumulation of 233U, it was assumed that enriched uranium or plutonium was used as additional fissile material to provide neutrons for 233U production. In the self-sufficient mode of operation, the mass and isotopic composition of heavy nuclei unloaded from the reactor should provide (after the removal of fission products) the value of the multiplication factor of the cell in the following cycle K > 1. Additionally, the geometry and composition of the cell was developed for an acceptable burnup of 233U. The results obtained demonstrate that the realization of a self-sufficient thorium mode for an automobile reactor is possible without using new technologies. The main features of the reactor ensuring a self-sufficient mode of operation are a good neutron balance and moving of fuel through the active core.

   Listen to these people Janelle, they know what they’re talking about. But, I’d recommend a different approach. After dealing with some of the same issues on my 1909 Hanes Apperson, I located an Alternative Machinist Artificer in my area. She used a new, holistic approach to automotive mechanism that brought new life to my Sport Runabout. After much chanting and meditation, she found badly misaligned auras in the chakra chassis antechamber and applied Abhyanga Massage Therapy to the misaligned styrods on the steering rack and the results were no less than miraculous! I would highly recommend an AMA certifed mechanician in your area…..and soon! Oh, and she also said I consume too much dairy.

   Very true, Colin and I never once considered an Alternative Machinist Artificer! Again, such wisdom can only come from ones who are superior in age and stature!

   There are tears coming from my eyes….LOL! The only thing that would be better than this post would be actually HEARING this conversation and the terminology thrown around…I MUST have more things like this to read while at my desk at work!

   Superior in “age”?!!? Why, I’m very much offended by the remark young man! One is only as “aged” as one feels! And, I feel very New Age my dear fellow!
