About Me

Drew
Drew works hard behind the scenes at Blue Ridge Community Church in Forest, VA  keeping all the technical production equipment operating and in good order so our services can be presented with excellence, and doing whatever he can to serve our volunteer technical team. He admires these people who give of themselves every week, often when only God is watching.

Born (5/20/79) and raised in High Point, NC, Drew has lived in Lynchburg since 1999 after studying electronics at Guilford Technical College and then transferring to Liberty University for a Business degree. Since moving here, he has also worked in sales at Lynchburg Music Center and traveled with WorldHelp teams as an audio systems tech.

Some of his other favorites are:  The Office, The Green Letters, Biscuitville, free WiFi at coffee shops, decaf coffee (he’s weird like that).  He admires Job for his dynamic trust, i.e., Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” And, one of his most satisfying things in life is watching God reveal some truth about Himself.

True story: Drew went camping the night of the final exam in Music Theory II and overslept. It was the only class he ever failed, and it kept him from getting a minor in music for classical guitar.

Drew is a very quiet and caring person, and a deep thinker. His immediate family consists of two “awesome” parents and a sister, Jamie, who all still live in North Carolina. Their world was turned upside down in February 2008 when Drew’s brother, Mark, passed away unexpectedly. Mark was only 26 years old. Our hearts and prayers are still with the Hunt family as they grieve this sudden and tragic loss of a loved one.
